The Dell PowerEdge R740 is a 2U, two-socket rack server designed to balance storage, I/O, and accelerator support for demanding workloads like virtualization, VDI, and AI.
Launched in 2017 as part of Dell's 14th generation, it reached its End of Life (EOL) in late 2023 and is generally succeeded by the PowerEdge R750.
